ACU Guest Wi-Fi is a new service that has been developed by the IT Directorate to provide ACU visitors access to free and mobile internet, on any mobile device.

Step-up instructions

To help you learn how to gain access to the guest Wi-Fi, we’ve created a simple instruction guide for you. Or you can follow the instructions below:

1. Search ‘acuguest’ on either your laptop or mobile device within your Wi-Fi settings.

2. Select the ‘acuguest’ network in the ‘choose network’ list.

3. Once the ‘acuguest’ Wi-Fi connection is active, you will be taken to the sign-on page.

4. For the first connection each day, you must select the ‘tap here to register as ACU Guest’ link to start the registration process.

5. You then need to enter the following mandatory information: - Australian mobile phone number - Email address – this information is used as your user identification and must be in valid email format

6. You’re encouraged to provide the following information, although it is not mandatory: - First name or preferred name - Last name

7. Once the ‘create account’ information has been entered, scroll down to view the ACU IT Acceptable Use policy

8. Select the ‘register’ button to continue with the registration

9. An SMS will then be sent to you containing your sign on credentials and a four-digit PIN to be used as your password. [It is more likely that the code will be sent to your email]

Note:

· You should only register once per day when connecting to ACU Guest Wi-Fi.

· Ensure you use the email address appearing in the SMS message to log-in to ACU Guest Wi-Fi.
